Public Speaking, School and Youth Group Visits

Public Speaking

I often get invited to speak about my charity work at events and I really enjoy it.

I have spoken at:

  • Business lunches and breakfast meetings
  • Rotary Club meetings
  • The Palace of Westminster (on behalf of The British Red Cross in my role of National Young Humanitarian)
  • Official Bobby Moore Fund events and supporting charity events

Speaking at events like these helps me to spread the word about bowel cancer and the charity, awareness saves lives too.

Visits to Schools & Youth Clubs

I really like to speak at schools and youth groups about my charity work and to inspire other young people to help. I normally do a presentation and ask the pupils to contribute to the presentation with fundraising ideas. I also explain the many ways they can help people in their everyday lives.

I can tailor my presentation around classroom topics/modules and have been asked to do presentations during some schools Super Hero Week. I bring along lots of interesting things with me:

When I visit I normally do a presentation and I bring along lots of interesting things:

  • A replica World Cup trophy – to explain that Bobby captained the England World Cup winning team in 1966 and to let the young people have their photo taken with the trophy.
  • England football shirts – for the young people to wear for photos.
  • England captains armband – an armband signed by Steven Gerrard for the young people to see and wear.
